Im upgrading to disk brakes and need to know what parts to get with a budget of
500.00 to start and finish...I have someone to to the job but I need to get all the parts..ALso getting a engine swap should I get 350 or 383.... need some good combos so plz email some info.. ALso Need dash wiring harness from fuse box .rims .For the disc brakes = try www.p-s-t. com, they will list what you need. For your $ 500 budget - good luck, I think you'll need about 2K. Double your budget. Good kits cost over that amount.
Cobbling together junkyard parts is not the answer. New OEM or good aftermarket parts only.
Brakes are not something to 'save' a couple of pennies out of.
Coming from someone with a four wheel disc Trans Am and a rear drum Trans Am of that same vintage, I can tell you there is very little difference in real world stopping that you'll feel.
