Funny. The above was posted by yourself 2 messages up the tree.

/me snickers. No, I will not buy a bridge.

I know all about K&N filters and wouldn't use on on my lawnmower.

I don't have a hurst shifter.

Shows how ignorant you are of this country. Double Nickle isn't everywhere, you know. Ask someone from Montana what the limit is.

<sarcasm> Oh joy!</sarcasm>

You obviously know nothing about me, or my cars...

I could ask you the same thing. You claim to have this 'unmodified 6cyl' that will, by your obviously embellished description, rip the fabric off the seats due to wind resistance...

Nice attempt at an insult. If you're going to continue throwing these lames around we all will quickly lose interest in you. I suggest at the least looking up an insult generator to help you. You see, you're nothing more than Cheese Wiz to this group...so I hereby dub you Cheese Wiz.

Chinga Te. :)

I like my Hurst shifter even if it is almost 30 years old. Did you know that Hurst has a full rebuild/rechroming service? Pretty cheap for the service they provide. Anyway it's the only shifter that has ever been in the car, a factory Hurst.
As for tracks, Bradenton Motorsports Park, Silver Dollar, Norwalk and Indianapolis Raceway Park. Of the four I think Norwalk is the best track and when I'm there I camp in the pits. IRP is great as it also has a road course and a Busch Track. There are a lot of hotels nearby so we usually end up taking one over for a 4 day event. I have friends near Silver Dollar and stay at their place when I'm up that way but you will usually find me at BMP on Thursdays, some Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. I never made it to Steele this year but I hear it's a cool track. On Friday nights the fog rolls in and you can't see the boards when you launch.
Next year I plan to add VMP and Memphis to my list.

Racing on the streets is stupid. BTW, the speed limit here is 70 and you have to be doing over 80 to get pulled. But when you have a real 600 hp on tap, going slow is cool. ;^)

My old shift scheme was something like this: 5500, 5500, 5500, go through the traps at 120 mph in a 4000lb car.

As far as shifting, I'd like to see you bang the gears in an old 4 speed with out lifting on the pedal OR the naaaaws button. (Here's a hint - forget the clutch) ;^)
A note for Martin: My block is finally done, picking it up tomorrow with the crank, rods and pistons. I can't wait to run the new 455 with a 6500 pill, a lightweight rotating assembly, 4.10s and a 5 speed.

Make sure to take some pics of the parts before/during/after the assembly.
I'm assuming the drop in displacement form 462 to 455 will net more torque off the line, aye? (Dunno what your hp/torque curves will look like.) Do you plan to dyno after you assemble?
Next thing you know, you'll be putting in an hydraulic tranny brake. :p
How many passes do you think you'll get out of your clutch?

At the track I don't run an air filter, just a 3 inch opening shaker.

Just got off the phone with my brother. He said if I don't make VMP this year he's going to kick my butt. He needs to pick it up two seconds to catch me. ;^)

Don't worry about pictures, there are already a bunch. The engine is a being built by two shops and the goal is for me to submit a writeup when its done to a Chevy mag and see if the publish it. It's sort of like the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, a writeup can save you LOT'S of money. ;^)

Actually, it will be a 463, I said 455 since it's the common term. I've been through so many iterations of bore and stroke I'm getting lost. We settled on the 463 because it uses a stock stroke and I want to run a lot 'o nitrous.
I should send you a shot of the dyno curves on the old 462 with a 5500 rev limit. The hp curve was till climbing when the rpm limit was met. The new cam is good to 7800 rpm but the bottom end won't hold unless I spend huge bucks on a billet crank and that ain't happening, not this time at least.

I'm going to run this with a manual tranny, everyone thinks I'm nuts but it can be done to the mid 10s, after that it's a real bitch to hit the gears and the squeeze and keep it straight. I do have line locks though. ;^)

I'm getting a steeper 1st gear and a big jump in the axle ratio so my clutch problems should be a less of a concern. Remember this is still an A/C P/S P/B street car my wife sometimes drives to work and also races so I can't run a super stiff three finger clutch. It's all in how you launch and how fast you can his the naaaws. At Indy I ran 12.80s at 120 on BFG radials, not drag radials. If I had a few more runs I'll bet I could have shaved at least a tenth off of that. Radial tire heads up racing rocks!

I have to get up a 4 am so it's time to pack for a short business trip. I'll get some pictures and more information later this week or early next week. Just don't expect me to tell the truth about everything. ;^)

I hope to be able to say the same soon. I've been saving an SxS 12, but the DE 50 is definitely on my wish list.
I still got the story you sent me btw. Just re-read it and got another chuckle.

I just got back home, the shop was closed long before I could get there. I may be able to pick everything up tomorrow so the fingers are crossed.
If you want to see what I want for Christmas, do a search for an Olympic Arms OA-93. It's the ultimate answer to an AR-18. The 18 has a lot of class but the 93 is new manufacture. All it needs is a Beta C double drum and its time to rock and roll!

Newsflash: No one cares. When you get a clue, come talk shop with me old boy.
France? Aren't they the fools that made Peugeot and Renault? Neither of them are any good---that is of course unless you need a nice flat hood to stand on in the junkyard.
Even at that, the hood will be rotten and you might fall through---thanks to the lovely French "craftsmanship".
Keep your Perrier (which has been shown to have arsenic in it based on tests done to it), Renaults, Merlot, and everything about France.
Learn to spell as well. It's embarrassing to talk to someone that spells worse than my four year old nephew.

is it not so that you in the US have arsenic in all of your drinking water? And because you seem to drink everything you can get hold of, why shouldn`t an European company make large profits with you? The bottled water with polutants is not from Europe, we fill it near the parking lot in an industial waste area!
WE ourselves do drink the real unpolluted water, what you drink does not matter for Europeans.

Apparently, you've drank a little bit too much of the water yourself....
Actually, I wouldn't drink or use anything from your country, it's all useless. There's a good reason why Renault & Peugeot crawled out of the US market. The product always sucked.
Seems that most of the folks from there follow suit.

For the record, I drink NYC tap water, thanks. You might ask yourself why other cities bring in NYC water for bagels, bread and other things you can get here but not there :).
I'm bored with you now, stupidity of your kind was never a challenge for me. Will you go away?

ey boy,
from now on say Georgette or Cheeze Wiz to me (ask Thund3rstruck snipped-for-privacy@hotmail.com why).
What is a peon and Chin Wiz? I cannot translate and I like the dirty wording your language has and I learn a lot of you all while in conversation with you.
Hold on. There was my spelling ... Is it not so, you understand what i say? Is it not enough? What else do you want?
I think you are heavily busy chatting with me.
Do you want to know what POSING really is?
THIS is posing:

Before I forget, recently you have learned a lot of tire size and more ... do you already know what Treadwear is?

2 large carrots
This is a simple classic stew that makes natural gravy, thus it does not have to be thickened. Brown the meat quickly in very hot oil, remove and set aside. Brown the onions, celery, pepper and garlic. De-glaze with wine, return meat to the pan and season well. Stew on low fire adding small amounts of water and seasoning as necessary. After at least half an hour, add the carrots and potatoes, and simmer till root vegetables break with a fork. Cook a fresh pot of long grained white rice.
