what happened?

I remember a few years back there was actually good activity on this board, stories about everything and anything and now it seems to be mostly spam and more spam....wonder if nude brittney drives a f-body

Good question. It seams most people only post when it's OT or Flame time. Charles

I'd venture to say that most people are migrating to web-based forums such as vbForums. When I tell people about the aacf and aac newsgroups, the typical reply is, "What's a newsgroup?"

I've also wondered this same thing. I once followed this group and read nearly every message. This was back in '96 to '98 or so...web forums were scarce and limited back then.

I find myself on the following now...

Another point that was mentioned is that most of us are probably a bit older and actually know what newsgroups are and maybe even remember REAL BBSs back in the 80s when we logged on with our 400 baud modem.

Of course with forums you can have MUCH more freedom to search, post images, chat, etc, so I really see newsgroups going the way of BBSs except for a few stubborn souls ;-)

We've seen the same thing on the f-body mailing list I've been a member of since 97 or so....most members have been on there 5 years or more...

Well, hopefully I don't get spammed now since I posted here :-/

I sometimes post on these boards as well, the problem I had was it seemed alot of the people on them were young....high school young with no license and dreams of one day getting a car. DON'T take me out of context I know the majority of the posters are the real deal. They usually aren't much help with troubleshooting or mods. When you ask about heads or a cam or whatever you want a real life story or opinion, not the clip from the summit catalog. Maybe Im being a bit critical but I like it hear because the posters know what they are talking about and are willing to help when they can. Or at least thats how it used to be save a few and we know who we are.
