97 Explorer Dash rattle

I know this is a shot in the dark, but maybe someone knows what could be causing this!

I have a 1997 Explorer that I have had for 3 years. Since the day I got it, their has been an rattle that is coming from the front drivers side of the dashboard. It sound like it is coming from the area left of the instrument cluster, or possibly in the front left post between the door and the dash. I have looked and felt everything I can think of under the dash, but cannot find anything obviously loose. I have also removed the plastic trim piece from the door jam post; nothing looked loose their either.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, Peyton

I'm having the same problem with my '94 EB and in the same exact area. I can make it go away if I press against the edge of the dash cluster where it projects out away from the dash (kinda the trim "ring" that goes around the instrument cluster?). This seems to occur when the temps are cooler (I'm in Fla.) so I'm expecting it to go away when the temps start to soar here in the South.
