Finally got around to relamping the instrument panel in my 99 Explorer Sport.
First a few word on the process.
There was no need to remove any of the knobs as mentioned on line or in the factory manual. There was no need to unbolt the emergency brake pull. The metal reinforcement panel need only be loosened not removed.
Now my question.
There is an electrical connector that blind terminates on the far right side of the plastic panel holds the headlight switch. It has 4 or 5 wires in a 6 hole body. There is a molded latching cavity in the panel, but no connections. I couldn't find any reference to this connector.
What's it for?
