BRR!! HEAT PROBLEMS!!!

Hey all. Ok another problem with my 1997 explorer. yes, I am a typical 26 year old woman, I thought it was a 1999 when I wrote in with earlier with problems. LOL. Anyway, now my heat has decided to take a crap. I had a friend of mine who is a part time mechanic that I trust look at it. The heater core is not plugged all the hoses are hot. The blower works fine. And the little door/flapper things that need to move when changing from feet heat or defrost or A/C all move and all those little rod things that turn when you move the feet heat or to defrost turn also. So I need help. What the heck else can it be? Thanks.

Are you sure the temperature blend door is moving properly?

I have no idea what that means. You mean my knob?

You shouldn't have it. To the best of my knowledge, there was an upgrade to those blend doors in the middle of 1998.

Along with Ed's line of investigation, does the engine warm up properly? That is to say does the needle move up near the middle of the temperature scale after 5 minutes of driving?

yep it does. and it started working on it's own again. But the when the knob is turned on cold it is hot and when on hot, cooler.
