Dashlights Non-Functioning

Hello,

In regard to my 1995 Ford Explorer, my steering wheel lights, door lights and instrument panel lights are not functioning.

All of the fuses appear to be fine. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? If so any advice on how to correct it?

Thanks, Kevin

If you rotate the headlight switch all the way on does it make a difference?

I'm having the same problem with my 1999. Also, the running lights don't work. Are yours?

I have encountered the same problem with my '99 Taurus. I checked all of the fuses, relays, etc. that might have remotely been a contributor to the problem; pulled apart the wiring harnes to check the splices and connections shown on the wiring diagram but did not solve the problem. I even enlisted my uncle the NSA Electrical engineer to help determine what was going on but to no avail. I ended up rewiring the power supply to the headlight switch to the cigarette lighter, now 2+ yrs later all is well and I have yet to determine what the cause was. If someone has a solution I'd be interested it learning what it is.
