How complicated, and should it even be done, to change the v6 in a 99 EddieBauer Explorer to a 302 or other V8 engine. Can the existing transmission be reused? Engine Mounts? Wiring? I'm just not happy with the performance of the V6.
Sell it, and buy another with the engine you want. It's by far the best and easiest way to do it.
Lift (and properly support) the radiator cap, and install another Explorer with desired engine under it. Lower radiator cap. This is the easiest and least expensive way to do this. Trust me.
