2000 Explorer Limited now has about 42000 miles. The spark plugs should last 100000, according to maintenance schedule.

I have seen sites that recommend removing plugs, then reinstalling, well before 100000 miles to prevent a difficult removal when the mileage gets to

100000.

Is this really necessary? Is it advisable to use anti-seize when installing the spark plugs?
