1996 Ford Crown Vic

Wondering how to disable the automatic locks that lock all doors when you exceed a certain speed (10mph maybe.. not sure exactly what it is)

can't find it in the owners manual, and can't seem to put the write description in google.

You can use the key pad to disable the feature, but one has to wonder why would you want to do so?

Why would i need the doors to lock when i set the car in motion... the car is old, and after many many trips and opening and closing the locks, i think they're starting to wear out... one is stripped already...

trying to save some wear on them, plus if i want the doors locked, i will lock them myself.

Do you think autolock is a good idea?
