YAWN....... The final four years of the SHO Taurus ('96-'99) were a disaster. I pity the poor saps who had one of these that had an engine failure. All because Ford was too lazy and cheap to put a $.25 spot weld on each camshaft.

The mini-V8 used those years was a modified Duratec V6 (basically the=20

2.5L with 2 extra cylinders.) Only the heads were from Yamaha. The=20 previous years were Yamaha V6's.
