93 ford taurus gl

I have a 1993 ford tarus gl, it is an awesome car with a fuel injected 3.0L v6with a custom torque injector, recently thouggh i have noticed a couple of problems.

If i am runnig errands around town the temp gauge (even on a cold day) will sky rocket, and after about the third or fourth shutoff, rad fluid will gush from the bottom right (looking down at the rad from the front bumper), i have had the thermostat changed and the rad check by so called "coolant experts", i have evne used bar stop to stop the rad from leaking, the experts could find nothing wrong.

what could it be?

the other thins are when the air con or the heater is runnig there is a very audible constant clicking, the minute i turn the air or heat off it's fine, turn it on agian it starts clicking.

And iahve noticed that my horsepower is noticeably reduced on hills when the air is running, iam not sur eif this is me becuase i have enver owned a car with working air con before this one, or this is a problem?

if any one can help ls let me know

You're going to have to look closer than that... ARE YOU SURE it's coming from the right? Could it be running along a shroud at the bottom? Or could it be coming from the back (right) of the engine itself? There are heater hoses running off there.

when car is cool, note the radiator cap on the left side, there should be a tube going from it to the coolant bottle BEHIND the washer bottle on the left. should have NO cracks. or breaks. And the bottle should hold coolant...NEVER use water only. Should be a 70-30 mix for you.. have it checked

Fill the rad itself with coolant to the top, with engine stopped and cool.

Normal for the A/c to have a noticable effect on the 3.0

Where did you get that torque injector? I been looking for one for my 3.0

I had a similar problem on my 93 GL. Problem was a separation of the plastic side tank from the aluminum core (oh for the old copper ones). Fix was simple - replace the radiator - about $150 US from Checker Auto. It was a "do-it-yourself" job, minimal skinned knuckles.

Unfortunately, i have one. My wife has lead on her right foot and mashes the gas. Then tells me to shut the F up. I have not figured out how to control the torque adjustment on here mouth yet....

Do you know what torque is? It's when you go in the bathroom first thing in the morning and of course you have to push the old Johnson down 'cause he's sticking straight out. Well when you push it down and your heels come off the ground.... that's "torque". Bob

Probably..... but would the measured HP be at the heels or at the crank?
