94 Escort jerks and bucks when clutch let out in 1st & 2nd Does not slip, Could this be the hydralic slave unit bad and leaking or another problem

If you can hold the clutch disengaged indefinitely then it's not the hydraulics.

If the clutch seems either on or off and you cant feather it, then it sounds like a bad pressure plate or maybe broken springs on the clutch disk

But that should also give some symptom in the higher gears, though less pronounced

BUT... If it's jerking and bucking a half second AFTER your foot is off pedal, it has nothing to do with the clutch.
