Recently bought a '94 Escort UK version.
When stationary, all is quiet, but when moving there is a rumbling noise from the front of the car. This changes slightly when the brakes are touched.
The noise can be detected from the front nearside wheel (the one with the short driveshaft) when the car is jacked and the wheel spun by hand.
Oh, and the car pulls slightly to that side.
Brake pads/disks look OKwith no sign of binding.
I suspect wheelbearing (although no play in wheel) and/or CV joints (although no clonks on full lock).
Anyone any other ideas??
