FORD FALCON EA 1988 WONT START WHEN HOT ?!?

HELP, MY 1988 FORD FALCON EA WONT START WHEN HOT. IT ONLY TAKES A TWENTY KM DRIVE TO DO IT AND WHEN YOU TURN IT OFF AND LEAVE IT FOR ABOUT 10MINS-2HOURS SHE’LL COUGH, SPLUTTER BACKFIRE AND STALL WHEN YOU
TRY AND START IT, IF YOUR LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET IT GOING IT’LL OFTEN STALL IN THE FIRST 100 METERS. ONCE SHES GOING THO ITS FINE, THE TEMP NEVER REALLY SHOWS HOT AND THE PROB DISSAPPEARS...UNTIL YOU TURN IT OFF AGAIN. WOULD BE GREAT IF SOMEONE COULD RELATE !?! NO MECHANICS ROUND HERE CAN.
