What is going on when it loses power? Is it under load? Running hot? How long has it been running? What kind of weather? Does stall at speed? Is his girlfriend in the seat distracting him? You need to part with a few more particulars.

Invest in a $35 EEC-IV code reader from Wal-Mart or A-Z. For that price you get the reader, and the BOOK, that will tell you what the codes mean. Troubleshooting is relatively easy then, and way cheaper than just throwing parts at the problem.

hey, lugnut it is not running hot, it also does not stall, it falls on its face then it picks back up and goes. Weather wise it has been between 50 to 60 degrees, when its cold it runs a little better, VERY little.
