Hi All, I have just bought the above Mondeo and have figured out just about every button except how to operate the crise control - bought the car 2nd hand with no handbook.
Could anyone explain how to use the controlds on the steering wheel for the cruise control - cheers
I am not familiar with the mondeo's cruise control but know cruise control generally.
You usually have the following functionions.
SET : Press set and car will continue at the speed that it is travelling. Pressing set again turns off cruise control.
RES : resume, pressing resume with cruise control off tells the car to resume at the last speed set. EG. drive at 55mph and press set to turn on cruise control.
+/- : you can use +/- buttons to change the car's speed while cruise control is on.
Brakes : When you apply the foot brake or select Neutral (manual gearbox) the cruise control will be turned off.
Example of use :
Driving at 60mph press SET and the car will continue at 60mph. Hold + and speed will increase to say 65mph. Press the brakes to turn off Cruise Control. Now when you press RES the car will resume at 65mph (last speed programmed in).
If the car is travelling at less than the set speed when resume is pressed, the car will accelerate to the correct speed. If you have an automatic gearbox, the car will change up the gears for you too.
Hi, for a mk3 on the left you have the on and off buttons. You need to turn it on when you want to use it after turning on. It wont work under 25 mph(40kph) On the right you have 3 buttons Res = Resume / cancle Set / + = Set the speed or increase the speed. - = Reduce the speed. hth dan
