My 92 Ranger transmission issue-Final post

Thought I would post one final comment about my transmission issue and me replacing the manual valve in the transmission. Turns out a local transmission shop happened to have a used manual valve for my transmission. He had never heard of one bending before, but he said there is a first time for everything. The one I got looked brand new really. No wear at all. In fact there seemed to be none of the teflon type substance gone either.

Putting it back together took all of about an hour to an hour and a half, and it is working better now than ever before. It now even has new fluid and filter, so I got it serviced at the same time.

Figured I would post and let anyone know that strange things do happen. I am thinking that I bent it when it got locked into park in below zero degree F day this past winter.

Thanks for listening to my rants, I am now a happy camper!

Thanks for posting the final chapter. We often never find out how the stories end.
