On a '90 Tbird LX, looking at upper ball joints on both sides and one strut rod bushing , with of course a front end alignment.. from a good shop what cost SHOULD I be looking at?

Why not call round a few dealer/repairers and get a quote. That way you will have a reasonable idea of what is fair. Get at least 4 quotes and NOT quotes from mates who would do it for you as its likely to be unrealistic.
