Sounds like you wallet will soon be about $2000 or so lighter..... If it not a great shape with low miles, you many want to consider your options.

Make sure it has an adequate amount of transmission fluid.
Otherwise, what Mr. Urz said is correct. You will be without a transmission soon or $2000 soon. Whether that means you want to replace or repair the vehicle, that is up to you.
