Drivers door locking motor giving symtpoms of having failed today, i.e. the door has to be locked manually with the key after using the remote.
Anyone replaced one, or can offer any input?

I doubt a fuse or realy would be to blame as the whole system would go down if it did.
If i where u i would reove the door panel which is really easy and get a test light on the milti-plug on the CDL motor loom and see what u have - got a light? then motor prob failed! hey presto :o)

My plan of action entirely, cheers Mark :) Seems as the locking motor forms part of the entire door latch / catch assembly though... :(

Im not 100% sure on the focus but on the fiesta you can still pull the whole thing apart and get the motor out of it.
