my f250 super duty,has a grinding noise at left front wheel,has add on lockouts,noise haptens quite often maybe every 20 minutes,when noise starts you can feel at floor it sort of vibrates,turning 4x4 knob to 4 wheel drive it stops for a while
I'm going through a similar situation with mine right now, replacing both from wheel hub assemblies. Same symptoms as yours though.

Your unitized wheel bearings are toasted. Get them fixed before your are stranded.
