A speedometer calibration question on new Ford F-150 & F-250 trucks...

Hey guys, I'm a bit of a novice on Ford trucks because I'm a long-term Jeeper but a new job has me setting up new truck dealers with various lifts and tires for yet-to-be-sold brand-new trucks. My question is what is the best way to re-calibrate the speedometers once you have installed bigger tires? 35" tires are common on the trucks we build up.

We commonly use a Hyper-Tech programmable chip but that seems like a way-overpriced approach when all I need to do is re-calibrate the speedometer so it's accurate with the new bigger tires. All programmable-chip approaches I've been advised to use to cost over $300 PER TRUCK.

Heck guys, it costs me only $13 for a new speedometer gear for my Jeep to recalibrate the speedometer, is there nothing cheaper than $300 to recalibrate a new 2004 Ford speedometer???

By the way, though I'll be keeping my Jeep too, I have plans to buy a new

2004 F-150 sometime this year. Since driving a lot of them lately, together with Dodge, GMC, Chevy, and Toyota, I've discovered they're a darned impressive truck. :)

Regards and thanks in advance, Jerry (please don't flame me too badly;) )
