Dome light staying on

1999 Ford Ranger xlt I can't get the dome light to shut off, it's as if the truck thinks the door is open when it isn't. Can someone guide me in the right direction for sensors etc. Can't find no switches. Not in Haynes book also.

Thanks KB

The gizmo is inside the door latch, spray some wd-40 in there, should work.

There's a small hole in the doors near the door latch. Use a spray can with a spray tube. Spray it around use WD-40 or maybe contact cleaner.

Worked on my 1995 Ranger.

Use a better spray instead of wd-40... I used it and it only lasted a few months. Tri-flow has lasted over a year now. Remember wd-40 was designed to get rid of water not as a lube.

THANK YOU! Telling people WD-40 is for displacing water (WD.. as in WATER DISPLACEMENT) and not a lubricant is like pulling teeth..
