Folding Bed Cover = Headache Rack?

Admittedly, this is a stretch...

Has anybody heard of crash tests where a folding bed cover like BakFlip's HD was evaluated as a sort of dynamic headache rack/cab protector?

In the BakFlip spiel, they tout the HD as a cab protector when it is fully folded up against the back window.

But that begs the question of what happens in a frontal crash when, for instance, there's maybe a Skil saw, a few hammers, and a small generator in the bed with the bed cover in it's normal flat position.

One would hope that the foremost panel of the cover would break upwards, giving some energy absorption at the back window...

But, short of an actual crash test, who knows?
