This time I have a Tranny Problem

I want to thank all you guys for the information on my CPS problem. I am starting to look around for cheaper ones. Now I have a problem with getting my transmission into Park. I look in my manual and it shows a Transmission Range Sensor on the drivers side. Has anyone had a problem with this? Are the expensive?

that part will NOT prevent the unit going into park

it will, however, cause such problems as the unit unexpectedly dropping from

4th into 3rd, and back, especially in wet weather

this also a big problem on the FWD cars, water splashes up, the hot exhaust turns it to steam, and it penetrates the switch, causing erratic resistance that the ECM reads as a differnt gear (the TRS does NOT use discrete contacts/wires, but is a resistance-switched unit that gives a different resistance reading to the ECM for each gear............simple in theory, but theory didn't account for real-world, under-the-hood conditions)
