Anyone have a perspective on the 100,000-mile warranty Ford offered on the
7.3 liter Diesel (1999 version)? I have an F-250SD with 99,870 miles on it, and the local dealership just charged me a lot of $$ to replace a water pump. When I asked about the warranty, the, um, service advisor told me that it only covers the engine (though it reads 'Drive Train')...is a water pump considered part of the drive train? He didn't feel that the factory warranty covers the transmission either (though that's not an issue), so I'm kinda suspicious. Dealership just changed hands and a lot of personnel...Any input appreciated -
