1992 Chevy Lumina Brake Line Fitting Sizes

Hello. The rear brake lines on my son's 1992 Chevy Lumina car just broke. I need to replace at least one line. I remember from a few years back a 1992 chevy cavalier that we had that I had to do the lines on and that I had a real hard time getting the right size line fittings (American Metric, European Metric, English etc.).

Does anyone know what size the fittings are on a 1992 Chevy Lumina car? The end at the rear brake hoses and the front end at the master brake cylinder? I just want to get the parts I need and be able to have everything when I get into it without having to make several trips back to the parts stores.

Thanks in advance for any advice/knowledge.

I don't know off the top of my head Lee, but you should have no problem just going to the aftermarket stores and telling the what model car this is on, and they'll look up the right fittings. I do this all the time. Take a good look before you go for parts though. Likely you have quite a bit of rotted out, or nearly rotted out brake line.

Thanks for the response. Well, at Pep Boys at least, they "don't know" what fittings I need. I went from what I remembered when I did our Cavalier a couple of years ago and bought the lines and some fittings. After I took the old lines off the car, they are European metric fittings, with bubble flares.

Should have the new lines on tonight, thanks again.
