I have a 2001 S-10 4.3 V6 Engine shuts off but restarts for now. Some times the fuel gauge goes to empty fuel light come on when the engine stops. Any help would be welcome.

Under the left kick panel is the main ground for the instrament cluster as well as other components it may be loose which will cause backfeeding of the ground through related circuts can cause all kinds of goofy problems, check to see if its loose.

Sounds like the harness to the pump has a bad connection or the ground is bad.
