$420 for Cabin Air Filter!!!

I got sticker shock at Pep Boys Auto Part Store yesterday. I had to get some GOJO Hand Clleaner and for the hell of it decided to check the prices on Purolater Cabin Filters, compared to what I pay at Chevy ( I get a discount there).

There was a part number in the book for my Buick buy it was not on the shelf. I was was scanning the end of the shelf where the stock stickers are, the stock number and prices are on them. There was no sticker with the Park Avenue filter number, so I guess its not stocked.

As I'm looking at the stickers I'm seeing prices like $89.00, 99.00,

129.00. When I saw the $199.00 filter I swore out loud,, but then next to that was a sticker reading a whopping $420.94!!!

It took a few minutes of looking throught the filter book for part #C35520 but its for a Mercedes CL & SL class type vehicle.

Very heavy gauge plastic frame & the filter material was a hard coarse material, something like I've never seen before

I guess I don't want to know what Mercedes charges for a cabin air filter.

Or any other part. I owned a 300D some years ago. Everything was 4X or more other car part prices.
