Hello gentlemen. My driver side lowbeam went out the other day. Simple fix,= so I bought a new bulb. On install the bulb didn't work. Bad bulb I though= t. Before returning said bulb, I put a meter on the bulb plug and found 11+= volts. I put battery charger power to original bulb; and it lit. I reinsta= lled the bulb and even mounted it to the lens assembly.... nothing. Removed= bulb and tried a little bulb grease.. nothing. Any help out there? It all = seems to work, just not together.

Volts should be 12.6. I second Ed. Bad ground. What are the ohms of the ground wire at the bulb plug to the negative battery terminal? It should be less than 1 ohm.
I checked Pauls ohm idea, and with the engine off, I got 0.0 on the ohm met= er. I then removed the terminals from the plug housing and checked power wi= th meter and found power at every area of terminal. I checked the overall c= ondition of the terminals, cleaned with electrical spray cleaner, tightened= prongs and reassembled. No light. Parts store has replacement plug that se= ems to need splicing in, but i'd rather buy the assembly that goes to the m= ain wiring block and that powers both hi/low beams. I'm at a loss here.

It's working now, but I don't beleive it will last long. I checked the mai= n block connector, and found it pretty corroded. The terminal for the probl= em light is rusted and about half gone. I sprayed and scraped the best I co= uld, but the light in question terminal felt as if would break if given too= much attention. I reassembled, and with a bit of wire/connector push/pull,= it worked. Is there a complete new main block assembly available? Does tha= t plug in somewhere down the line, or is it a splice job? Thanks for the he= lp so far.
