97 malibu

How the hell do you check the tranny fluid on this car?? all i can find is where to put it in, but there is no dip stick. i just found that kinda wierd

thats where you put the fluid in, there is no dip stick to check the fluid level

Actually there is a way to check the fluid there is just no dipstick.There is a plug by the right CV shaft.You will have to jack the front up,start the car and let it idle in park.If no fluid runs from the hole after the plug is removed then add fluid through the filler cap that you see at the top untill it does.This is one of GM?s better ideas luckly enough they only did it for a couple of years I think.:?

Nope, it's still in effect, and probably will eventually spread to more/all of the transmissions.
