PS I think that DANA/WIX is making Ford's filters too now. More reason to keep your car all GM! GM oil is made by Pennzoil.

That's what I tought. I recently purchased a WIX 51040 and find it very similar to the Delco PF47. The guy at the store told me he cut open both filters and they were exactly the same. I was curious because I remember earing more than once that Delco were made by Champions labs. Last time I purchased a Delco filter at the dealer I found it different from the Delco at WallMart. The ones at WallMart were lighter and about half the price. Either those were leftovers from a different manufacturer (Champions labs?) or Delco are selling 2 different version of their PF47.

PS If I remember correctly, Motorcraft are either WIX or Purolator filters.
