You might want to look on edmunds.com and some of the consumer comparison sites. You'll get a decent starting point for comparisons as well as owner experiences/opinions.
As for cheaper/price - why not look at dealer lots? Price is so subjective. It's reflective of where you live, what sells and what doesn't sell so fast, etc. Edmunds.com will help you get an understanding of what average prices are for both.
