GM 3.1 fuel injectors replaced...

Hi
Last week i changed fuel injectors on 1996 Pontiac Grand Am, with 3.1 engine... Ever since it has been difficult to start the car especially if the
engine is hot, and you can smell the exhaust (running too rich?) when first started. Other than that engine runs fine.
New injectors are Borg-Warner brand and all six were changed.
Do the new injectors cause this problem (not being AC Delco brand), or could it be something else..
Thanks for any help

Check inside the vacuum hose at the fuel press regulator if wet, regulator is leaking. After that, one injector new or not may be leaking down.

I had the same exact problem with the same model car. The shop had installed the wrong injector. There are two different part numbers for that engine on the 96 Grand Am, The shop put the correct part in and now it starts fine.
