Hard to compete with taxes and union fees killing the company. Just heard that something like $1500 for each car goes for medical and close to $2000 for pension plans. Add to that 15% of employee pay for Social Security and about 20% for Income tax. It gets about impossible for an American company to compete with a company located in a country that uses Value Added tax. Those countries don't tax things they export but they add their tax on all imports.
