It affects 1,738 vehicles, and from the article:

"SOME OF THESE VEHICLES HAVE A CONDITION IN WHICH THE FUEL TANK FRONT SUPPORT STRAP MAY FRACTURE. IF THIS OCCURS, THE FUEL TANK WOULD BE SUPPORTED BY THE REAR SUPPORT STRAP AND STONE SHIELD ONLY. CONTINUED USE OF THE VEHICLE MAY EVENTUALLY FRACTURE THE REAR SUPPORT STRAP AND SHIELD FASTENERS."

Yep. GM recalls 1,738 vehicles, and Toyota recalls 1.3 million. Sounds like GM's quality control is much better then Toyota's.

134,900 is still a lot more then 1,738, moron.

bottom line for GM hummer = bummer ========================================================= Yawn. Toyota has been king of recalls for a few years now, if you don't like it, that's too damned bad.
