How to install rear window in Chev S10 pickup?

burning old couch that someone had dropped some .22 shells into. Shot out rear window of S10 pickup.

Bought a used window at salvage that apparently salvage personnel cut out of back window of another S10. Looks like they took a knife and sliced through rubber all around, just inside the window.

O'reilly's no longer carries car window gaskets/seals. local chev dealer said the S10 window gasket comes with the window and not sold separately.

going back to the country for the weekend where the S10 is located and I will take a better look at the situation this time. Will check for replies to this post from there.

TIA.

You don't happen to live in Arkansas or perhaps Texas do you?

Doesn't the old window have a usable gasket?

The windows are what are called:

"Encapsulated Glass" The outside molding, and the weather-strip may come with it?

But if I remember correctly, the outside molding comes with it, and it's set with urethane adhesive built up.

You might want to check with the local dealer's parts department, or the local Auto Glass shop. Then you'll need to go to a good auto parts store, or an auto body supplier. To get either 3-M or Tremco Urethane, which are GM approved to install Urethane installed glass.

I hope this helps?
