Usually, that is triggered by the brake switch - you cannot get out of
Park unless your foot is on the brake pedal. Perhaps see if your brake
lights come on when you press the brake pedal as a first step.
Also, there is usually a "towing" procedure, to get the car out of
park, described in the manual. This is in case the battery is totally
dead; you can remove the boot around the shifter, and use a small
screwdriver to mechaniclaly get the shifter to move. This might help
you get the vehicle drive-able.
