Pontiac gran am03:

Hi group. Has anyone found an decent replacement for the OEM Pontiac headlights? They are very under powered, driving at night on long road trips is extremely tiring and stressful. I hope someone has an fix TIA.

Hi Sal. I have the same car and I could not agree more. These are the most pathetic headlights I've ever seen on a modern day car. It's the only aspect of the car that I dislike, but I really dislike the lights. I've looked at some of the aftermarket options but have not found anything that really works. The claims of some of the aftermarket bulbs need to be reveiwed very carefully. It seems they don't really light up the road any better than the OEM lights. The problem is the reflector built into the OEM units. Most of the aftermarket stuff claims to use different color light and that can potentially make it seem to be a better light, but it really does not light up the road any better due to the pattern created by the reflector.

I'd be interested in anything you find beyond what I uncovered. There have been a couple of people here who have expressed the same dissatisfaction with the Grand Am headlights, so I'm sure if you come across something that you really like much more, everyone will be interested. Keep us posted.

Doesn't it just suck that you can hit the high beam switch and not really see much difference between it and the low beam?
