Problems with 2002 Buick Rendezvous

Hello all, We are having minor problems with my wife's 2002 Rendezvous and have not been able to find a solution.

  1. At idle the vehicle has a minor shake.

  1. Every once in awhile the Rendezvous will not start like normal. It takes 2 tries to get it to fire. This only occurs after driving for awhile.

  2. Last week the car quit on her while driving.

So far the dealer can not find anything wrong and claims problems 1 & 2 are normal. Any advice on what or if this is a problem or normal.

I HAVE ALSO HAD MANY PROBLEMS WITH MY rdv AND AM CURRENTLY INVOLVED IN A SUIT WITH DEALER AND GM. I HAVE HAD NUMEROUS PROBLEMS SINCE MY PURCHASE OF THE USED 2002 VEHICLE (WITH 19K ON IT AT TIME) LAST SEPT:

-6 BODY CONTROL MODULES (COMPUTERS)

-BAD ROTORS, ABS QUITTING, WHEEL ALIGN PROBS, CAR ROLLING ON HILLS

-STARTING PROBS

-IGNITION PROBS W/ KEY

-WIND NOISE, LACK OF ADEQUATE HEAT/AIR TO KEEP COMFORTABLE

-INACCURATE FUEL AND TEMP GAUGES

-POOR DOOR ALIGNMENT

-LOCKING PROBS, KEY FOB LOOP BREAKING,

-LIGHTING PROBS, RADIO STATIC, RADIO CONTROLS PEELING (STEERING WHEEL)

-WIPER PROBS

-LUG COVERS KEEP FALLING OFF

-MUSTY SMELL THAT WILL NOT GO AWAY FROM AC/HEATING AND THE LIST GOES ON, AND ON, AND ON.

I LOVE MY CAR BUT IT OBVIOUSLY DOES NOT LOVE ME AND I THINK IT NEEDS AN EXORCISM!! CURRENTLY THE CASE IS BEING REVIEWED AND LOOKS LIKE A REPURCHASE MAY BE IN MY FUTURE (I HOPE).

DESPITE ALL THE TROUBLE AND OVER A MONTH OF SERVICE DAYS IN THE SHOP, I WILL PROBABLY WANT TO BUY ANOTHER ONE. I HAVE DRIVEN MANY NEW CARS IN THE PAST FEW WEEKS AND NONE HAVE ALL THE FEATURES AND AMENITIES LIKE THE RDV. IT IS REALLY A GREAT VEHILE, I THINK I JUST GOT A BAD ONE.

PLEASE KEEP ALL YOUR REPAIRS AND PAPERS (YOU CAN EVEN ASK YOUR DEALER FOR A MANUFACTURER HISTORY OF YOUR VEHICLE WHICH WILL SHOW EVERY REPAIR FROM ALL DEALERSHIPS. KEEP TRACK OF MILEAGES, TIMES, WEATHER CONDITIONS WHEN ISSUES ARRISE, ETC,ETC. AND PLEASE NOTE THAT DEALER REPAIR RECORDS ARE NOT ALWAYS THE SAME AS THE MANUFACTURERS SO KEEP A CLOSE EYE AND DON'T BE DISCOURAGED AT THE PROCESS. MY DEALERSHIP IS BEING REALLY GOOD ABOUT THE WHOLE THING . AFTER ALL, IT IS NOT NECESSARILY THEIR FAULT, JUST A BAD CAR.
