Question for Ian - Oil pressure

I live in Sweden in Europa and have a Pontiac Trans Sport build year 94 with QUAD4-engine, 4 cylinders double over heda cam, 2,3 liters, 16 valves. What should the minimum oil pressure be in engine? There is more than one point to meassure the pressure. Where should i messure? In tho engineblock or in the top or in oilfilter?

I heard that the The traditional "standard" for minimum oil pressure is 10 p.s.i. per 1000 RPM. Is this guilty even for QUAD4-engine?

Why is so many people varning for just QUAD4-engine? I heard that people varnings for thin engine here in Sweden. What is the problem with that engine. QUAD4 is not standard in Pontiac in USA but vas delivered for Europe. QUAD4 I think was even in Chevrolet Corsica & Beretta and some other cars. Wich cars have this engine? What should I do to prevent to crash my engine?

The car is very good to drive and draw gasoline only 0,085 litres per kilometres

Thanks for any ansver to prevent engine crash. Sweden

Interesting article. I went to a tractor pulling competition a few years back and was surprised to see a lot of those mini hotrod tractors had Quad Fours, apparently they are disirable for that.

They were gutsy engines. The ideal replacement for the Iron Puke 4 cylinder engine in the Fieros, except for the limitations noted in the article.

10 psi min at 900 RPM is the official spec. It's usually assumed that you measure the oil pressure at the point where the oil pressure sending unit is located.
