Speedometer Cluster Interchangeability

For a full-sized Olds sedan 1994 Model 98... it now has the standard U2E cluster. Would like information on possibility of replacing it with the UH8 cluster. The latter has a tach with a LED or fluorescent tube
readout for mileage and transmission position display. According to what I can determine from the factory shop manual, the UH8 will require 2 connectors (only 1 for the U2E) to support the tach, etc. Is the extra connector present?
Regarding the speedometer reading; I was informed that there are service centers where one can have the mileage reset to match the mileage on the cluster being replaced. Any suggestions? Thank you.

There might be some connectors tied off that might be for the tach. You would have to remove your cluster first to determine what is back there.
Is that the only difference in the cluster is the addition of just a tach?
Why not add an Auto Meter Tachometer and keep the original cluster. At least you know evrything on your cluster is operating properly ( or is it ? ).
Good Luck
