UAW

although I always stick up for the union worker the news out of the UAW is stupid political grandstanding or not, the GM uaw retirees received all of there
health care benefits thru the bankrupcy process, the salary current empoyees and retirees were tosses under the bus. They want more, well GM is now building and selling more cars in china than the US. GM UAW employees has gone from the 100s of thousands over the 25 years to less than 100 thousand currently, WAKE UP UAW it could be 0 after a couple of more contracts.

While you are at it, check out the salaries of the union leaders too. Decades ago, unions were formed to help the worker get a fair shake from employers that would exploit the worker. Now they get exploited by their own unions whose main interest is collecting dues.

If they really wanted to clean up GM, they would have locked out UAW/CAW in bankruptcy.
Unions are just like employers, they both exploit employees. But at least the company pays you for it.

The Unions that are doing most of the exploiting today are GOVERNMENT employees. BO(ZO,) and the Dimocrats that control Congress, are going to higher thousands more of them to administer the new so called healthcare law the will "lower healthcare costs." ;)

Government or private, unions are bad.
But I can see why governments are unionized, the politicians and management are so inept, they at least put some stability into the system. But would be good to loose them too. Government accumulates dead weight like fly paper. The real solution in government is to fire 60% in round one and another 20% later.
Government Motors, auction it off in whole or in parts, whichever fetches the best buck. GM China might be worth more than GM Internation, GM Europe and GM NA all combined.
If hina offered $20 billion of rGM China, SOLD!

If that long. The next dip in the US economy is now rearing it's ugly head. So the question becomes with a bankrupt government, how long will they hold onto GM?
When it comes to government and GM, GM will loose big time.

The next bigger dip in the economy is going to occur on January first, when BO(ZO) and the Dimocrates that control Congress, are going to allow the Bush tax RATE cuts for all Americans to expire. ;)
