Blown battery cell, or electrical damage?

Dead battery- starter clicked and dome light still on. In haste, may have jumped with negative + to positive. No sign of damage but car did not start once done jumped correctly. Dome light no longer on. Starter no longer clicking. AAA could not get dome light on / or start via their mobile jumper. Sound like battery or maybe electrical damage? :cry:

indeed. if he's lucky.

while the ecu is almost certainly protected, there's a lot of peripheral stuff on the car that isn't. dash light dimmer for one.
