I had this problem for nearly a year on my 2003 CR-V, no help from dealer. While in Florida in early February, I took it in for a normal periodic maintenance and mentioned it-- they said there's a tech bulletin out on this, and they fixed it free (no more clunks since then).
No Bull its true, you will find the 04 and the 05 do it as well as the
