What model year did the Civic get fuel injection?

I am looking for an older Honda Cvic, maybe 1.5L to get 30-40 mpg. http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/noframes/10743.shtml
What year did the Civic get rid of the carb and switch to fuel injection?
Any model years to avoid?

First year with FI was 1988. There's never been any real problem years with Civic fuel injection. Good luck. Howard
