Accent 2001 Brake Rotors warp

2001 Accent: As soon as I replaced the factory brake pads with semi-metallic pads, the rotors warp after about 7500 miles of driving. Apparently excess heat is generated with the semi-metallics. Has anyone experienced this? Solutions? Anyone try Brembo rotors?
