Guys, someone oughta look into this on ebay (no, its not mine). I emailed the guy who has it listed twice and asked him what the engine came out of, how he came to have it, and what was needed to put it into a Trooper (wiring harness, switches, etc). The first time he replied he said all that was needed was to drain the gas tank and fill it with diesel. I asked him again, more or less the same question, but with more detail - and he still didnt' tell me how he came to have the engine, whether or not he had the rest of the truck, and what other parts were needed for a swap with a gasoline engine. Here's what he said.....

As of tonight, (Wednesday, 2100 CST), there's a day and 21 hours left on this auction. I personally won't bet $3500 on an engine of dubious value to me, although I'd love to have a diesel in my Trooper, without having the whole truck to scavenge parts off of, but someone in this group may be interested....so have at 'er if you have the courage (and money). Not only that, but "she who must be obeyed" has informed me that she does NOT want a diesel in our truck..... so I guess that's that... .I gotta put up with the crummy mileage of my 98 Trooper.
If someone buys this, I'd sure like to know how it turns out. r/ Steve
