Jaguar E-type

I've been quietly reading this newsgroup for months. I plan to buy a classic e-type soon. Any advice? Thanks. Robert Gehl

E-Types and parts are not hard-to-find, they're just expensive. Be prepared for your wallet-ectomy.

Put original-style bias-ply tires on it

theymake a world of difference. Hemmings Motor News is a good periodical to start with.

Beaucoup info here:

Find a specialist mechanic if you don't plan to work on it yourself.

In my opinion, the earlier models have more class, i.e. 3.8L over 4.2L, Series I over Series II, unless, of course, you just _have_ to have the V-12 .

Have fun.
